Presently about 60% of the land are belongs to unfavorable ecosystem where cropping intensity and crop productivity is very less. Agronomic research to address the unfavorable ecosystems like salinity, drought, charland, hill, beels etc. is of prime importance to explore the potentiality of the adverse ecosystems.
