Plant Pathology Division is an important research division of BARI, committed to conducting basic and applied research based on the national demand, climate change and ensure food security in Bangladesh.

• Basic and applied research for development of disease management technologies for sustainable development
• Plant disease diagnosis and clinical service to crop growers and exporter
• Monitoring of new and emerging diseases and estimation of crop loss due to plant diseases
• Multi-location trial of cost effective disease management technologies and disseminate to the farmers’ field, GO and NGO personnel
• Pre-registration trial of new fungicides, bactericides, nematicides and Bio fungicides
